Cancelling a class

As we operate small group classes, it is important to cancel your class if you cannot attend it anymore to allow other clients to step in, even if you hold an unlimited ‘All You Can Boost’ pass.

We thank you to cancel your class at least 3 hours prior to its start.

If you cancel less than 3 hours before the start of the class (‘late cancel’), or if you do not attend your class (‘no show’), you will unfortunately lose your class credit or be automatically charged CHF25 if you are using an unlimited ‘All You Can Boost’ pass (CHF 15 for a 30′ Lagree Ramp class in Studio Forum), unless you have a ‘late cancellation joker’ available (see infra).

If you are not 100% sure you can make it to a class, do not take the risk losing it, you always have the option to book it a few minutes before it starts.

Booster Late Cancellation Joker

We really do not like to charge clients for unattended classes and sometimes you simply have really no other choice than to cancel your class less then 3 hours before it starts.

This is why we offer all clients, one ‘late cancellation joker’ per year, ie. one chance per calendar year to get back your class credit. For clients using a ‘All You Can Boost’ unlimited pass, the late cancellation fee automatically charged on your credit card will be cancelled.

We will send you an email to confirm you when we have used your joker.

Please note that the jokers cannot be used for ‘No shows’, ie. when you do not show up to a class.

Waiting List

Sigh. Class is full… Good news is that by signing up to the waitlist, you have more than 80% chances to get into the class!

  • up to 12 hours before the start of the class

When a spot opens up more than 12 hours before the start of the class, we give them away to clients on the waitlist in the order that they put themselves on.

You will:

  • receive an email or a mobile notification (if you are using the mobile app), stating you have been moved into the class.
  •  need to cancel your class reservation up to 3 hours before the start of the class, if you cannot attend it anymore.

In any case, it is better to cancel your waitlist reservation, if you cannot attend any more the class.

  • less than 12 hours before the start of the class

You are not automatically added to a class if a spot opens up less than 12 hours before the start of the class. You will receive an email or mobile notification to inform you that a spot has opened. You need then to sign up to the class on a first come first serve basis to secure your spot.

Good to know:

  • If you did not get a spot, the class credit used to book your waitlisted spot, will be credited back to your account after the class.
  • you can always sign off from a waitlist. Canceling a waitlisted spot is free of any charge at any time
Pausing pack and passes

Unlike many studios or fitness centers that will be inflexible on the validity time of your memberships, we understand that things happen, and that sometimes you cannot simply visit the studio and use your package or pass as you had planned.

If you are sick or injured, you can simply pause your package or your pass for the time you need to be better. Just send us a copy or your doctor’s note and we will pause your pass.

If you simply need a break that you had not planned, we offer ‘pause time’ that you can ask sending us an email according to the following rules:

  • packages/passes valid one month can be paused up to 7 days
  • packages/passes valid three months can be paused up to 21 days
  • packages/passes valid six months can be paused up to 42 days

The pauses should be at minimum of 7 days.

Pregnant or Post Pregnant?

In the first trimester of pregnancy, you can practice booster workouts such as the Lagree Method and Barre Intensity, nearly as usual with a few important considerations in mind that are explained below. After the first trimester, we would recommend to stop doing abs and to gradually decrease the intensity of the exercises. We would then recommend to stop performing our workouts at the latest 8 weeks before the due date.

If you have no experience with the Lagree Method, we recommend you to attend our ‘Lagree light’ classes that offer a lower level of intensity and where instructors can more easily offer you adaptations. We do not recommend you start with the Lagree Method after the first trimester of your pregnancy.

From the 2nd trimester and from 6 weeks after birth with doctor’s consent, we recommend all pregnant clients to join the ‘Lagree light’ classes.

LAGREE FITNESS AND PREGNANCY AND REQUIREMENTS TO FOLLOW DURING YOUR PRACTICE OF THE LAGREE FITNESS METHOD AT BOOSTER TRANSFORM

If you have been active prior to becoming pregnant then you may continue your activities as long as they are not activities that could result in a loss of balance and as long as you remember to lower your intensity levels to prevent an increased body temperature and heart rate. The goal during this period is maintenance and not improvement. Therefore, you should not push yourself.

There are certain precautions that you will need to follow in order to make it completely safe. Remember that the goal during this period is to maintain, not to improve; your workout intensity should be mild to moderate. In other words, you should exercise at a normal pace and should not attempt to push yourself. Pushing yourself will put undue stress in your body and will increase the chances of reaching two conditions that should be avoided at all times during pregnancy:

1) Your heart rate should never exceed 140 beats per minute. Therefore, be especially careful to monitor your heart rate during exercise. That can be easily done by counting the amount of times your heart beats in ten seconds while you are performing the activity and then multiplying that number by 6. This will give you the amount of beats per minute. You can also use a heart rate monitor that will give you a more accurate monitoring.
2) Your body temperature should never exceed 38 degrees Celsius (or 100 degrees Farenheit). It is not recommended to workout if you have a bit of temperature.

You should also adhere to the following rules:

1) Increase your rest periods in between sets to maintain a normal body temperature and a low pulse (below 140 beats).
2) Choose weight (resistances) that you can perform with always a good posture.
3) Eliminate exercises that may cause a loss of balance such as lunges and squats, or always ensure stability holding a pole if you are performing this type of exercises. Our coaches will substitute them for exercises like bungee kicks and side leg press.
4) Don’t hold your breath while exercising since by doing so, you can cut the oxygen supply to your baby.
